Fröhliche Ostern - 2004

Back during the Syzygy years, Andy and I would work together a lot. He would usually do the visuals, and I would usually animate them. The little bird was part of a Daimler Chrysler campaign.
At around the same time I was feeling quite ready to leave Syzygy and move onto pastures new (it had been 6 years!). And so whilst out one night, I bumped into Iain (an ex-colleage who had recently co-founded Poke). He informed me that Poke were looking for people and told me to give him a shout. He was quite crap at returning emails, and I didn't want to keep pestering him. So the little bird was adapted as an easter greeting that I sent out to everyone I know, including Iain, as a subtle reminder that I still existed.
It didn't work. I still had to pester him for weeks after Easter.
Rabbit boy 2 - 2004

What was and never more than the holding page for Rabbit boy 2. It wasn't too long after I did this that I started at Poke, and they kept me busy. Plus whilst there I had lots of other ideas about what or how I should portray myself online. You know - like blogs and shit.
Happy Eater - 2003

This is what the Happy Eater thing became. I remember having big plans for it at the time, rather than just a site for mixtapes - an online comic, an interactive music maker. But then soon realised my limitations, as I'm not able to write comics or produce anything technically complicated in Flash. Or anything else.
Happy Eater development - 2002/2003
Happy Eater was what I called myself as a DJ.
Sketchbooks - 2002/2003
Lots of space ships. This was all while I was at Syzygy. There was a point during those 6 years that I didn't keep sketchbooks at all. I think it's perhaps because I was learning and exploring the relevant applications. To work straight into Illustrator or Photoshop or Flash was maybe a bit more immediately rewarding than drawing something.
Or maybe I just couldn't be fucked.
