Sketchbooks - 2008/2009
I wonder how damaging it may be to mention what I was (supposed to be) doing professionally whilst sketchbooks were being maintained. As you can imagine, it was never anything to do with Death Stars. That one above was done whilst waiting to be briefed on my very first day at my very first freelance job. But then a lot of sketchbook work is related to 'real' work, it just seldom looks as interesting. A lot of the above was done whilst I was at The Partners. There are glimpses into some of the concept for the rebrand of Network Rail, as well as a self portrait featuring the fat lip I had given myself at some point during that time.
Sketchbooks - 2008
I was at Tonic for just over a year, and in that time filled 2 sketchbooks that I'm quite pleased with. They contain a good mix of what became actual real work, as well as the usual Death Stars and nemesis squids.
Sketchbooks/concept visuals - 2007/2008
Whilst at Tonic, I bought a house. I had a lot on my mind to do with home improvement, such as radiator fittings and floorboards. These thoughts all made it into this sketchbook, along with concepts for Sony and Grey.
